Midori Splice
1 oz
A bright green colored sweet melon liquer used in many cocktails (mainly for its color); 21% ABV.
1 oz
A coconut infused rum, commonly used in tropical drinks.
3 oz
A tropical fruit, used in many tropical cocktails for its sweet flavor and yellow color. You can either juice a real pineapple, buy pineapple canned in juice (not syrup) or buy pineapple juice in a container.
1 Tbsp
The butterfat layer skimmed from the top of milk before homogenization, contains more than 35% milk fat. Also called single/double cream and whipping cream, although these may also add thickening agents making them less useful for mixing in cocktails. This is used as a foaming agent and for fat-washing in cocktails.
1 slice
A tropical plant with a tart yellow fruit. Most often used in tiki cocktails and fizzes.
Shake all ingredients, except the cream, with ice until chilled. Strain into an ice-filled tall glass. Layer the cream on top. Garnish with a pineapple slice and serve with a straw. #shake #ontherocks
